Comforts of a Man (The Panty Droppers Series) Page 4
“Logan? It’s Allison.”
“I know.” A smile danced about his mouth.
“Could I see you?”
“Sure, Allison. Where?”
“My place.”
Logan arched a brow. “Are you giving me an indecent proposal, Miss Jackman?”
“I don’t know.” Her voice was a whisper.
“That, Allison, is because you don’t know what I can do for that beautiful body of yours.”
“I think I have an idea.”
“Trust me, you have no clue. Are you sure you want to meet in a private place like your house?”
There was a silence on the other line before she replied. “Why? Because you’re afraid this old woman would take advantage of your body?”
A smirk crossed Logan’s lips. “Afraid? Lady, I’m actually hoping you will.”
She went silent again.
“Allison, look—I know you—”
“Are you coming over?”
Logan took a deep breath and bowed his head. He got up and walked up the stairs from the studio with the cordless phone tucked between his head and shoulder. He felt a strange sensation dancing through him. He didn’t want her to think because he was coming over they had to do anything she didn’t want. He felt so much for this woman already that he would hate it if he scared her away. That thought made his heart skip a beat.
“Logan?”
“I’m here.” He opened the fridge and stuck his head in looking for a bottle of water. “I just don’t want you to think we have to do anything you don’t want to because I may come over.”
“I know. I just want to have a good dinner, talk—get to know you. From what I can tell my daughter knows a lot about you.”
“Your daughter?” Logan was confused.
“Well apparently everyone in this town knows who you are except me.”
“Alrigh—gimme your address.”
With the address in his breast pocket, Logan climbed into his Porsche. He sped toward her house with the radio pumping his demo. He hated listening to himself, but he had to make sure the demo was perfect. He had money to buy himself into anything he wanted, but he didn’t want to become a singer that way. He wanted to earn his way in. By the time he made a left turn down the private road that led to Allison’s house, the demo had played about four times and each time only confirmed to him it was ready. When he pulled to a stop at her gates he ejected the CD and stared up at the large house before him. He pressed the black talk button and waited.
“Yes?” Allison’s voice emanated from the speakers.
“It’s Logan.”
That was all he had to say. There was a click and the gates swung open. He drove his beautiful, black Porsche in and parked. He wasn’t sure if he was parked in the right place, but it was behind another car.

Allison didn’t wait for the door bell to ring. She couldn’t take the anticipation anymore. As soon as she allowed him in the gates she rushed to peer at herself in the mirror, fluffed her hair and took a deep breath. She then opened the front door and descended the front steps to meet him as he stepped from his car. She hauled in a breath when she saw him. He was dressed in all black except for a set of silver dog tags that he wore around his neck. They peered out from against his dark skin in the dimming evening light.
What was she to do in greeting? Should she kiss those delectable, mocha lips that had sent her to heaven previously? He made her decision for her when she reached him and he tangled his fingers in her free flowing hair and took her lips. The kiss sent her heart pulsating but as soon as it came, it was gone.
“Evenin’.” Logan’s voice gasped softly.
“Wow.” She grinned up into his face. “A girl could get used to a greeting like that.”
He smirked at her. “This shouldn’t be new to you, Allison.”
“Sounds like something my best friend would say. Come on in.” She took his hand and led him up the steps into the house. She closed the door behind them and escorted him through the foyer and into the living room.
“Have a seat,” she told him. “Would you like a glass of wine, a beer?”
“No—can we just talk for a bit?”
Allison was stunned when those words came to her. It was the same thing that William had said in the beginning of his ‘it’s not me it’s you’ speech. Her heart began hammering within her. Her feet gave out and she landed in the sofa close to her. She nodded silently with her hands in her lap like a child that had just been scolded.
“Ok, Allison, listen. I know you know by now that I like you—a lot. And I know you just came out of a marriage and probably you aren’t looking to get into anything serious. But I can wait. I can go away and you can come get me when you’re ready. I don’t want you to do something you don’t want to either—I don’t want to be your rebound. I just want to be with you.”
“What—”
“What I’m saying is―don’t do this because you think it’s what I want. Don’t do this because you’re trying to show your ex-husband. Don’t do this because you want to show yourself you can still get a young man because, lady, you are beautiful. Do this because it’s what your heart wants—no hesitations. No sadness, no regrets.”
“So you don’t want a fling?”
Logan shook his head and Allison launched herself into his arms. She wrapped her arms around him so tight he moaned. She finally pulled herself together enough before she released him and sat back. She knelt before him and took his hand. “I am always open to love, to new beginnings. William left and my daughter and my best friend made me see if he left it only meant he wasn’t the one. It sucks it took so long to realize it, but that’s what happened so now I deal and move on. I want to get to know you and I—”
“What is it, Allison?”
“I want you to make love to me. I want to explore your body...I’ve thought about it since the day I crashed into you at Black Magic. But before we even think about that, I need to ask you a question.”
“Alright—”
“How are you in bed? Foreplay?”
Logan laughed. “That’s two questions.”
“I know.” Her cheeks heated up and she bowed her head.
His finger pushed her chin up slowly until her eyes met his. “There’s only one way to find out.”
Chapter Five
Logan sat in the sofa and listened to her. When she said she wanted him to make love to her he almost swallowed his tongue. He watched her and wondered when the last time was William made love to her. He knew she deserved to be made love to—not fucked. Fucking was for flings and if the wife or husband came home for a quickie. He picked her up in his arms and placed her in the sofa she’d tackled him from. That image made him smile.
“Don’t move,” he whispered huskily. He backed away from her and saw fear in her eyes. He licked his lips and began by removing his black shirt—slowly. One button after another he bared his chest to her before peeling the shirt from his shoulders. He watched her eyes even as his hands slid down his abs to his waist and undid the buckle. He pulled the belt out and tossed it aside. He went to his knees and crawled forward until he was directly before her. Logan kissed from her toes, up over her knees and reached upward to her lips. She moaned his name just before he took her lips into a kiss.
“Want me to dance for you, Allison? Still want to explore my body?”
She nodded.
“Talk to me, baby,” he encouraged.
“I want to explore you...”
“Alright, your wish is my command.”
He stood up pulling her with him. With her in his arms, he began swaying across the space of the living room. He rocked her to no music, but the beat of their hearts. She clung to his neck and rested her face against his chest. He loved the feel of her curves wrapped around him and the scent of her hair. His body trembled and he couldn’t resist her anymore. He took one of her wrist and spun her so her back crashed into his chest. He pressed his arousa
l against her before letting his lips fall against her neck.
“Move your body, Allison,” Logan whispered. “Grind with me.”
“I don’t know how.”
“Yes you do. You want to turn me on even more don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Then move those hips, baby,” he instructed. He began grinding against her from behind, showing her what he meant. He clutched her hips and pulled them even closer to him. “Show me what you got.”
“Logan, I don’t—”
“Don’t think about it. Just let your body speak. Let your body tell me what you want me to do to it.”

Allison wondered if she had the heart to do what he asked. She had never allowed herself to lose control during lovemaking before. Her husband—ex-husband—would never have allowed it. His words spurred her on and with each turn of her hips she felt his cock grow beneath her. She moaned when he took one of her hands and pressed it against the front of his pants. “See?” He wanted to know. His voice was harder, straining with control. She found that so breath-taking. William had never strained to control himself with her. It was always about his pleasure. He never took time to try and turn her on. She squealed when he spun her around and backed her toward the sofa. He then walked around her, and eased into the sofa with his large arms folded behind his head.
“Explore away, Allison.”
She smiled down at him and climbed to sit astride his hips. She ground her wetness against the front of his pants while locking eyes with him. Flipping her hair over one shoulder, she allowed her body to fall forward slowly. She kissed his nose then took his lips. He was allowing her to take control and that caused her body to tremble. She was scared she may not be doing it right, but when she released his lips and began sucking on one nipple he gasped her name. That told her she was doing something right. Switching nipples she focused on the other then trailed her tongue over each sculpted part of his abs. He tasted hot and she loved it. She looked up in his eyes and he looked so damn sexy just watching her. She kissed his abdomen and he arched up to her mouth. She undid his pants and pushed the flaps out of the way.
“Allison—”
She didn’t listen. Allison reached into his boxers, wrapped her fingers around his throbbing cock and pulled it to her view. She was stunned. He was thick with a perfect head. She licked her lips, looked up at him sexily while allowing her mouth to wrap around the head. She kept her tongue away from him, watching him as he pushed to his elbows to watch her even more. For the first time in years, Allison felt so utterly sexy, and it was driving her mad. When her tongue finally circled the throbbing, chocolate head in her mouth, he growled at her. That reaction was new to her—the pleasure of hearing the primal sound that she tore from his throat. She drew on him, tasting her reward, flowing like a river over her tongue. Moaning, she dragged her nails up his luscious thighs. She felt them shake and looked up to see him reaching for her. Allowing him to take her shoulders, Allison whispered his name as he lifted her high above his body and placed her to sit astride his stomach.
“I didn’t bring any…we have to stop.”
Allison’s eyes snapped open and she saw the glazed look in his stare. She smiled at him and cuddled into his chest.
“But,” he whispered. “I have to pay you back for what you just did to me.”
She laughed softly. “You can’t be serious!”
Logan flipped them over and she landed on the sofa. Laughter rippled from her lips as he slid down her body. Her mirth quickly turned to a gasp of pleasure as he spread her open and shoved his skilful tongue into her wet, hot womanhood. Arching her back, she gripped the back of his head and pushed her hips upward. To her wonderful, delicious surprise, his tongue slipped deeper within her. All Allison could do then was allow the passion to flow over her. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head as a cold heat shimmered through her body, traced her spine and vibrated off her heart.
Then he pressed against her abdomen gently and everything she’d been holding back flooded to the surface. A scream welled up from the base of her soul, to the tips of her toes before racing up her body and exploding from her lips. Digging her nails into his shoulders, she felt it the moment her hips did what they wanted to do, driving upward, taking his tongue deeper. She trembled, feeling as if she was burning alive in the sweetest way possible. It was as if she he’d taken her breath from her and she didn’t mind. When he finally released her, he pulled her into his chest. All she could do was tremble, clinging to him and pressing her face into his neck.
“Logan, I…”
“It’s alright. Just sleep.”
Chapter Six
The morning came too soon. For a moment, Allison laid there. His hard body held hers perfectly and she wondered if she’d wasted her life away with the wrong man. Then she saw Emily’s smiling face and knew, even if she had wasted her life with her husband, she’d gotten one good thing out of it. She smiled and shifted in his arms. He held her tighter and she kissed his shoulder. Lifting her chest she pressed her back into the sofa and looked down into his face. He was perfection even when he slept. His flawless dark skin looked so inviting she had to caress his cheeks, and trail a finger over his beautiful lips.
Heat swam across her cheeks remembering what those lips did to her the night before. She lay against him again, just to feel his heart beat against her. Sighing, she held him tighter, snuggle her face beneath his chin and closed her eyes.
But sleep didn’t last long. A horn outside woke her. Since she was up she might as well feed him. The thought of feeding him brought back the way he spread her open the night before. She bit back a giggle by kissing his chin. Allison moaned and tried to leave his arms, but Logan simply held onto her tighter. She laughed softly, kissing his eyebrows until he opened one eye to look at her. She grinned. “Morning,” she pressed her forehead to his. “You know how embarrassed I am right now?”
He moaned—a rough, manly sound left her trembling. “Why is that?”
“I just met you.”
He chuckled. “You’re one of those women that judge everything with time?”
“Well yes.”
“How about we just go with the flow and see what happens. I like you, Allison and I’d like to be the one you choose. But I won’t push you.”
“Thank you.” Allison kissed his lips and eased off the sofa. “You should get up and maybe lay on the bed for a while. I’m sure the sofa wasn’t easy on your back.”
He smirked at her. “You trying to get me in your bed? Well score to me!”
She whacked him playfully against the arm and laughed. “The bedroom is up those stairs.”
Logan caught her around the waist and kissed her neck. “I’m fine—really. I should go.”
Those words took the steam from her and she froze in his arms. She knew that moment would come—the one where he would walk out of her life and never come back. The one where he would meet some skinny blond from Fresno and leave her just like the other one; she took a deep breath and turned in his arms to see he was looking down at her with confusion.
“What’s the matter?”
“You’re leaving.”
“Yes because in three hours I have to be in the studio. I’m not leaving because I want to. But this demo was supposed to be done a while ago and I just couldn’t find the motivation.”
“So, can I see you later?”
“Baby, you can see me anytime you want,” he replied softy.
She sighed when he cradled the back of her head, and moved her closer. He took her lips with a tender force leaving her panting and holding onto him for dear life. When he pulled away, Allison moaned. “Don’t go.”
“I have to.”
She slipped her mouth down the side of his face, feeling rejected even though he explained it all. She inhaled his scent while trailing a hand over his face—down his forehead and over his nose. When her index finger found his lips, he sucked it in, lashing it with his tongue
. She sighed. There was something in her causing her to suck against his bare shoulder, nipping his flesh then grazing it with his teeth.
“I will be back,” he ground out, releasing her finger and easing away from her. “The moment I finish.”
She watched as he grabbed his shirt and walked back to her. He kissed her again and after hauling his shirt on, he exited the house. The distinct click of the front door caused her to jerk as though she didn’t know the sound was coming before she crumbled, naked to the couch.
It could all end in tears.
For once in your pathetic life, do something wild. Do something and not think about it.
The day dragged on slowly and by the time lunch time rolled around Ashton barged into the house to Allison trying to figure out how to make the flash on her camera work. When he walked through the living room door, she lifted the camera and accidentally took his picture.
“Holy crap that’s bright!” Ashton covered his eyes with one hand.
“Ever heard of knocking?”
“Since when do I knock to come into this house?”
“Since I had a boyfriend!”
Ashton arched a brow and slipped to sit beside her. “Uh…what?”
She caressed the side of the camera. “I have a boyfriend—well I think I do.”
“Wait, who?”
“Logan Montgomery.”
“That’s definitely trading up,” Ashton said softly. “I can tell by that large hickie on your neck you two…kissed?”
“Kissed? The man rocked my world! And the funny thing about it is I don’t feel dirty or guilty or sad about it. We didn’t have sex, but we got close.”
“Did he go down on you?”
Allison gasped softly and tried to look incredulous. But the thought of Logan’s mouth on her didn’t allow that to happen. Ashton burst out laughing and Allison punished him by taking another picture of him. He moaned.
“So he did! Was he any good?”
